Covid-19 Information

We at Emma J Shipley hope you and your family are taking care and managing to enjoy the new found time at home. We’re still able to deliver, and bring some animal magic to everyone in the safest way possible.

We are prioritising the health and safety of everyone from our staff to our customers, and developing as the situation changes. We’re taking all the necessary measures as advised by WHO and the government.

Things are a little bit different and there have been a couple of changes to the way we’re running our business, which we have advised bellow, to keep you and our team safe.

Delivery

We’re still shipping to all destinations worldwide. Delivery times may be slightly longer than usual due to the current situation, and some local post services and couriers are still running with reduced services. Couriers will be using a ‘no contact’ delivery method in order to keep you safe and may ask for your name for their records at a safe distance.

 

Wallpaper, Fabrics & Bedding (including Velvet Cushions)

All our fabric, wallpaper and bedding (including Velvet Cushions) are dispatched by our manufacturers Clarke & Clarke and due to the current situation they have reduced their staff in all departments. Delivery is currently slower than usual and may be longer than 5 working days, we do apologise for this. These items are shipped with UPS who are currently working with a no-contact delivery service and leaving orders outside if they can. If you haven’t received your order and want to check the status of the delivery, the tracking can be found through the link on the dispatch email along with the timings in the footer of the email.

 

Samples

As with the fabric and wallpaper, the samples are sent out by Clarke & Clarke and so delivery will be slower than usual and is currently around 15 working days to be dispatched - this includes the preparation of samples as they are all cut by hand, and some may go out of stock, we have noted samples that are out of stock on each product. Please contact us here if you would like some more information on specific fabrics or wallpapers or an order you have placed.

 

Chairs

Chairs are only available for delivery to UK mainland, however the manufactures Clarke & Clarke are having difficulties shipping them to remote areas within the UK and the times may be slower. All chairs are still shipping however they are a little slower than the usual 4 weeks and are taking 5-6 weeks to dispatch.

 

Home Accessories

All of our other items are sent out from our small EJS warehouse team which is still open as usual and getting orders out in normal time, all of these orders are sent with Royal Mail to UK addresses and DHL to non UK orders. Both are running with no contact deliveries, however Royal Mail are running slower than usual in some areas. You can track the order with your tracking code found on the dispatch email.

 

Returns

You can see our standard returns and exchange policy here. We have extended our returns period to 30 days on all home accessories and bedding. Please contact us first for any wallpaper, fabric & chair returns. Please contact us here if you are self isolating and so unable to post your item(s). Please note that returned parcels are left for 48 hours in quarantine before they are opened and checked.

 

Customer Service

All of our team are now working from home. All emails are being replied to and the phone line is on a new number and will go direct through to our Customer Services. You can also speak to us on our new website chat at the bottom of your screen - we are online most of the time between 10am-5pm GMT on weekdays, or you can leave a message any other time and we will get back to you.

 

Out of stock & Pre-order Items

Due to staff shortages and the factories being shut over the lockdown period earlier this year, our items are coming back in stock slightly slower than before, please bear with us as we wait to get restocks and if you would like any more specific information about a product or pre-order please contact us here.

 

Spirit of Christmas

We usually take part in House & Garden’s Spirit of Christmas show at Olympia in November - however unfortunately it has been cancelled this year but we hope to organise something for next year so we can meet more of our magical customers again!
