Christmas according to... Rejina Pyo

This week we're making a merry mess, pulling Christmas crackers in the studio! We catch up with fashion designer Rejina Pyo about her plans for the holiday season and the new year.

Hi Rejina, thanks for chatting with us today. With 2015 coming to an end, how are you feeling after your busy year?

Time just flies. I'm so grateful for all the support thats been given to me including the Centre for Fashion Enterprise, British Fashion Council, RainbowWave, Spring London PR and lots of my loyal customers! Every season I feel that the 'relationship' is getting stronger.

Definitely, keep up the good work! Where do you get your inspiration from?

Everywhere. Visual references of course but sometimes just in a conversation with my friends.

“I would love to spend a day doing nothing and staying in pyjamas!”

What are your plans for Christmas this year?

In Korea Christmas is not a huge deal. It's more about the new year. My husband is Irish and has a big family in Ireland. Going to Ireland for trips, walks, spending time with family, eating and drinking mulled wine - it's all so homely, relaxed and cosy. I love it there and love his family. We do 'Kris Kringle' and prepare one person's gift secretly, which I really like.

Is there anything in particular you're hoping for this Christmas day?

I would love to spend a day doing nothing and staying in my pyjamas! No email, no phone calls!

Do you have any festive traditions you're looking forward to?

Myself, my husband, his brother and girlfriend all go on a countryside road trip in Ireland, which is magical.

Sounds gorgeous. And finally, what can we expect from Rejina Pyo for 2016?

For spring/summer 2016, you can see our first collaboration in eyewear and shoes. Also we're developing a platform so we can be directly linked with our customers, which is very exciting! Watch our Instagram for updates! @rejinapyo

Thanks Rejina!
