Easter with EJS

As it approaches the Easter weekend and we remain in lockdown (albeit with some restrictions eased), you may be looking for some fun ideas to get you in the Easter spirit and/or keep the kids entertained.

EJS Easter Egg Hunt
Got some leftover EJS fabric samples? Reduce waste and reimagine them as magical egg parcels to be hidden around the house!
What you will need
- A few EJS fabric samples
- Some Easter eggs
- Sylph samples or ribbon for tying
Step 1 - Lay your EJS sample design down and place the egg in the middle
Step 2 - Fold the sample up with the egg in the centre
Step 3 - Fold the corners up into your desired style
Step 4 - Tie a strip of Sylph silk or ribbon to keep it secured
Step 5 - Now you're ready to take your eggs and hide them around your garden or home for a little EJS Easter hunt!
EJS Easter Nests
A timeless favourite for Easter and an easy bake for even the worst chefs among us!
Ingredients
- 200g of Milk Chocolate
- 85g of shredded wheat
- 200g of mini chocolate eggs
- 12 cupcake cases
Method
Step 1 - Melt the chocolate in a heat proof bowl placed over just simmering water
Step 2 - Once melted pour the chocolate over the shredded wheat and stir well to combine
Step 3 - Spoon the mixture into 12 cupcake cases, then use a teaspoon to push a small well into the middle of each one
Step 4 - Finally place 2 or 3 mini eggs in the middle of the nest and leave to harden in the fridge for 2 hours
Step 5 - And now enjoy your little Easter treats!
