Here at Emma J Shipley, the start of the summer can only be signalled by one thing - and that’s the launch of our new season scarf collection!
The Audubon Collection is inspired by a South African safari trip that Emma embarked on last year. The designs evoke feelings of a tropical escape to a distant and strange fantasy world - a world that only Emma could conjure in her wild imagination.
Crystal-eyed exotic birds perch on branches sprouting foliage and colourful butterflies, whilst spotted giraffes and zebra-unicorn hybrids play amongst hummingbirds and curious palm trees.
The hand-drawn designs have been printed on a range of materials perfect for summer dressing - in particular Emma has developed crisp cotton neckerchiefs which are ideal for hot holidays (and take up no space at all in a suitcase…). However the luxurious double-sided silk squares are truly something unique.
Not only have the scarves gone live on our online store, but they’ve also found their way onto the shop floors and websites of many of our international stockists.
As well as being available to buy via the Liberty website, a selection of the new scarves have taken pride of place in the Liberty scarf hall. The Emma J Shipley team headed down to the department store to take a look at the new display, only to find every member of the scarf sales team sporting a new season Emma J Shipley scarf! We can honestly say the team wore the pieces with true style…
We’re thrilled to see The Audubon Collection launch, and loved showcasing it for the first time at the pop-up boutique event Fashion Sunday at East London’s Oval Space a few weeks ago. The pieces got a great reaction - with the colourful jungle cheetah (accompanied by a small sloth hanging overhead in the branches...) getting plenty of attention.
