As well as our thriving online store, you can discover our magical designs in our selection of loyal stockists all around the world. From Australia to Tokyo, Scotland to Sweden, you can now find EJS products all over the globe. As well as throughout the world, we also have a fantastic range of British stores selling our designs, and as a small luxury brand based in London ourselves, these particular stockists hold a special place in our heart.
Claudia Sebire, Jeffrey's Interiors and Stanwells are 3 of our favourite British stockists and we're delighted to be bringing you along as we gain fascinating insight into the realm of these stores. As much as we love our wonderful larger stockists Harrods and Liberty, the beauty of these 3 boutiques lies partially in their size; in a world full of big department stores we truly value the unique and personal experience you receive from an independent store. We'll be carrying out a Q&A with each, to explore their history, the experience customers can expect and exactly which Emma J Shipley products they're currently loving. Read on to discover why you should make a special visit to these 3 very different stores...
Claudia Sebire
Trusted by London's most stylish clientele, Claudia Sebire has offered a unique retail experience for 30 years. Each season Claudia's clients rely on her to cater impeccably to their individual style and provide capsule wardrobes built around their own lifestyle. Our range of magical scarves have long been considered staple accessories by Claudia and her customers, both because of their imaginative colour schemes and enchanting designs.
We caught up with Team Sebire to give you an insight into what to expect from such a personal and attentive service...
What is the most unique thing customers can look forward to experiencing whilst shopping at Claudia Sebire?
"We offer a bespoke service here at Claudia Sebire, we spend time thoroughly learning each of our clients personally before curating capsule wardrobes to present to them. By getting to know our client’s style and fashion needs we are able to tailor their selection to meet the demands of their varying lifestyles. By building on what our clients already own we are able to breathe new life into much loved pieces."
What is your favourite EJS scarf this season, and how would you style it?
"Claudia has a keen eye for colour. She buys from 10 – 15 designers, often connecting collections through colours. This season we are showing a lovely story from Strenesse which combines bold pinks and reds. The Elven Silk Chiffon Scarf in pink sits seamlessly with these pieces. We love finishing off looks with Emma J Shipley scarves. They really elevate the feeling of an outfit. Often it is the accessories that make a look complete and your scarves do this every time. Our most popular EJS scarf for Autumn/Winter so far has been the beautiful Zambezi Fine Wool Shawl in orange."

We love the way that you use pops of colour to style your beautiful displays - can you give us some tips on the best ways to introduce colour into our wardrobes?
"If you don’t already wear colour, adding pops of colour through your accessories is an approachable way to introduce it and Emma J. Shipley scarves can be styled in such a manner that you can show as much or as little colour as you like.

Sometimes you just need to accessorise an accessory! For example we merchandise Emma J. Shipley neckerchief’s tied to the handle of our Unutzer tote bags that complements an item of the outfit. In this instance you can add a touch of femininity and individualism to an otherwise corporate look.
For an elegant more sophisticated outfit we often style looks tonally. Such as the Elven Silk Chiffon Scarf in pink with an Amina Rubinacci pink cotton knit, paired with Strenesse pink leather sandals."

Within the enchanting retail space you won't ever be too far from a stunning Emma J Shipley cushion; the perfect finishing touch to any home.
We spoke to Claire McLoughlin, the Showroom Manager at Jeffrey's to learn a little more about the showroom; what interior trends they're loving and to find out which EJS pieces are their current favourites...
What is it that makes Jeffrey’s a unique store?
"Unique in many ways, Jeffreys Interiors is a window to design inspiration. Neighbouring Edinburgh’s Insta-famous Circus Lane, our retail experience occupies two levels of a Georgian townhouse. Unfolding into six rooms, each individually designed to display the eclectic styles of our ten strong retail and design team.
Sourcing globally from the forefront of international design, our constantly evolving collections spotlight unique designers and one off pieces across furniture, lighting and homeware accessories. We search for tastemakers rather than followers, specialising in statement conversation pieces.
"We search for tastemakers rather than followers..."
A cacophony of contradictions, with a penchant for controversial colour palettes, playful scales, and whimsical, unexpected details; our showroom spans a kaleidoscope of design influences, giving a tactile, immersive feel that cannot be replicated online."
What Emma J Shipley pieces do you sell in your store, and what is your favourite from this season?
"We offer a selection of Emma J Shipley cushions in the showroom, with some of our favourites being the Cheetah and the Large Phoenix cushions; clients are drawn to the detail in the design (we love the little sloth in the tree!), the boldness of the colours, as well as the quality of the fabrics used.
Another popular cushion is the Kruger Double Bolster, we have it in every colour but we especially love the vibrancy of the orange and pink version, it’s such a versatile size that it can be used to bring a touch of joy to any part of the home."

What are some of your current most popular trends/products in your store?
"Animals, whimsy and maximalism are recurring themes here at Jeffreys Interiors and that is reflected in our styling and the accessories we offer, as well as being part of the reason that we love Emma J Shipley.
We currently have a living room designed in a palette of patterned blues featuring furniture and accessories by William Yeoward, while other rooms display pieces by Julian Chichester and Andrew Martin. The variety of designers that we offer allows our clients to find something that really suits their home and personality – also, our fabric library means that there’s often an option to bespoke items with different fabrics or trims to make them even more unique.
In terms of accessories, we are constantly changing and evolving - a current favourites are a pair of silver art deco style crabs, and a selection of vibrant hour glasses; they’re the perfect way to add a touch of curiosity to your environment."

Stanwells
With stores in Lymington and Westbourne, Stanwells has built a dedicated clientele of print-loving, fashion-forward women and made its name as one of Vogue's best boutiques outside of London. Known for combining contemporary brands and new designers to create a stylishly curated playground for shoppers, Stanwells is a proud stockist of our magical scarf range.
We were excited to learn a little more about the British boutique and which recent EJS pieces have been most popular in store...
What do you find the most rewarding part of an independent boutique as opposed to a larger department store?
"The whole process from discovering new brands to buying exciting collections and selling to our lovely customers is extremely rewarding and requires all of the team’s care and attention. We have built great relationships with our customers in both stores which you wouldn’t find in a lot of the larger department stores. We get to know them and their style preferences so that we can tailor our buying to our customer’s tastes."
"...selling to our lovely customers is extremely rewarding and requires all of the team’s care and attention"
What do you think is unique about your store and/or customers?
"We put a lot of effort into understanding what our customers want whilst also encouraging them to move out of their comfort zone and try something new. Most of our customers are extremely open minded, which allows us to introduce new brands regularly to keep the store fresh and current."
What is your favourite Emma J Shipley piece for this season, and how would you style it?
"We are loving the Zambezi print for AW18. We’ll be wearing ours with some AG Farrah Skinny jeans and a classic Belstaff biker jacket, just add some block heels for the evening or pair with some Ash trainers for a chic daytime look."
