FOOD
This week we headed down to neighbourhood eatery The Laundry to enjoy our very first Emma J Shipley Christmas party! We're lunchtime regulars at this delicious dining spot, but we thought we'd skip the salad and head straight for the three course festive menu, complete with plenty of delicious cocktails. The turkey main course came with all the trimmings, including braised red cabbage and pigs in blankets. However it was the dessert that we all agreed was a highlight - ginger and treacle pudding with butterscotch sauce followed by a very unnecessary round of tequila shots to end the night....
VISIT
Winterville in Victoria Park popped up at the beginning of the month providing an alternative Christmas wonderland in the heart of East London (and around the corner from EJS HQ). Think ice skating, roller discos, ski lodge pubs, street food and plenty of fairground rides - all of which have taken up residency in the middle of the park until the new year. We're particularly fond of the ferris wheel, however make sure you take your mulled cider with you as it gets rather freezing at the very top...
DRINK
If you're looking for a Christmas-appropriate cocktail to please the crowds this party season, this spiced cranberry martini is the answer to all your festive entertaining woes! We're not ashamed to admit that Christmas music has been providing our studio soundtrack for the past week or so and we thought it only fair to share our festive favourites. CHARITY
And finally, 'tis the season of giving and here at Emma J Shipley we're continuing our support of The Snow Leopard Trust - a great organisation that donates money towards the protection of this rare and endangered species. 10% of all the proceeds from the Atelier Swarovski x Emma J Shipley collection goes straight to The Snow Leopard Trust, and we also donated a portion of our sales from the Secret Christmas Grotto Pop-Up earlier this month to the organisation.
