An illustrative way to spend your weekend

An illustrative way to spend your weekend

If you're checking out the Southbank Winter Market this weekend we recommend popping into London's contemporary Illustration Fair nearby at Bargehouse - OXO Tower Wharf.

The event has grown massively since its initial launch two years ago and this year it's bringing London a three day celebration, showcasing 30 emerging illustrators, designers, printmakers, and publishers. Along with artist-led stands, they've handpicked a selection of favourite publishing houses, creative agencies, illustration collectives, print studios, galleries, craft businesses, and designers.  We're looking forward to seeing the bold colours and imaginative artwork of artists such as Camille Walala and Robert Hunter.

We'll be immersing ourselves in the bespoke installations and unique one-off murals, including an interactive three-dimensional work from graffiti legend Thierry Noir, the first artist to paint the Berlin Wall. CultureLabel's Artist of the Year, Rupert Newman, will be transforming the walls outside the gallery with a live mapping show, captivating us with colour.

Over the weekend why not head to one of the artist-led talks and workshops, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live DJs and of course, a fully stocked winter-warming bar. Mulled wine anyone?
