Each season the EJS team are lucky enough to head off to Paris during fashion week for a busy five days in the showroom amongst a crowd of fellow talented designers. This year was no different! We enjoyed a burst of early springtime weather in the amazing location of the Jardin des Tuileries, where we previewed our soon-to-be-launched Extinct Collection and made the most of our time in the ever-beautiful French capital. To document the trip, we turned to our trusty polaroid camera to take some snaps around town, in the showroom and of some sneak peeks from the upcoming collection. Here are our polaroid postcards from Paris...

Based in the Premiere Classe showroom for four days, we filled our space with EJS prints-galore and even managed to transport one of our studio orchids over on the Eurostar! However the showroom kept us well catered for with a delicious boulangerie, fashion book store and a wonderful florist which complimented the spring-like weather perfectly. The long days went quickly with fresh pastries and blooms to recharge us!

The showroom was located in the stunning Jardin des Tuileries in central Paris, which runs parallel to the Rue de Rivoli, home to the historic Louvre and some of the city's most famous shops and eateries. The sun shone down on the beautiful gardens for the entire duration of our trip, which meant that coffee breaks were spent admiring the surrounding statues and pretty flowerbeds, alongside providing the ideal spot for people watching. We were lucky enough to witness some impressive Parisian sunsets when leaving the showroom in the evening to grab a much needed glass of champagne!

As you may have seen from our London Fashion Week diaries, this season saw us showcase our biggest line of womenswear to date, and this was the perfect excuse to try out a whole range of outfit combinations each day in the showroom! The matching orange silk Tigris tee and wide-leg trouser got Amelia stopped in her tracks several times during the day and the silk Constellation t-shirt in blue was an easy match with denim. It was an opportunity to embrace the new collection in all its printed glory and road test the new styles ahead of their launch later this year...

The Premiere Classe closing party is always a celebration we look forward to each season (last year's boat party was definitely not one to forget) and the black tie dress code and famous Parisian cabaret location hinted at big things. It didn't disappoint! We were greeted with a tray of champagne (one of many to follow...) and sipped in awe at the incredible baroque surroundings, including plush red velvet booths, a gold gilded mezzanine level and crystal chandeliers. The evening consisted of plenty of drinking, dancing, canapes and a spot of karaoke accompanied by a live band! We couldn't have hoped for a better end to the trip.
During fashion week there's always a great crowd of fellow young designers over in the French capital, and we stopped by the Fashion Scout showroom one evening for a drink and to see some of the selection of emerging designers showing their new collections. Champions of creative design talent, Fashion Scout have a showroom both in London and Paris and have been responsible for the launch of many well-known fashion designers. We particularly loved the work of recent RCA graduate James Kelly, who's dramatic collection of draped and multi-textured outwear got us super excited for his future fashion career! View all the looks from his AW15 collection here.
Paris wouldn't be Paris without some regular pastry pitstops to the amazing selection of boulangeries and patisseries that line the city's streets. The long days in the showroom often require a brief sugary hit and who could ask for anything more delicious than what Paris has to offer? It was another enjoyable and hectic season and we look forward to our future adventures in Paris later in 2015...
