An opulent Fashion Week presentation with Aspinal...

The buzz of London Fashion Week was in full swing as we arrived at the Aspinal of London presentation in Claridge's Hotel. Following on from the success of our Pegasus collection of bags and scarves, launched last year, we were excited to preview Aspinal's new range of bags and scarves, along with their exclusive collection to celebrate the release of 20th Century Fox's Murder on the Orient Express (in cinemas November), which we were delighted to provide scarf designs for! This exclusive range will be released by Aspinal in coming moths ahead - read on to preview the collection and find out more...

The vintage Aspinal car was a delightful sight, parked outside Claridge's Hotel.

The theme for the presentation was, of course, based on the Agetha Christie classic "Murder on the Orient Express." The novel takes viewers on a lavish trip through Europe, which quickly unfolds into a race against time to solve a murder on the iconic train. The ballroom at Claridges Hotel was transformed to replicate the train itself; each end of the exquisite room mimicked the inside of the train carriages, with TV screens filling the windows playing stunning footage of the landscape you'd expect to view when riding the famous train. And, central to the room was a model of the train's front exterior, with two train porters in vibrant blue suits guarding the locomotive.

The presentation was buzzing with invited guests, browsing Aspinal's upcoming spring/summer collection of bags.

Aside from viewing the exclusive Christie-inspired collection, Aspinal's spring/summer 2018 collection was also on display - celebrating the golden era of elegant travel. Inspired by the understated elegance, romance and style of the bygone era of the Grand European Tour, Aspinal's choice of materials and colours are suitably rich and opulent. Stepping back to a time where travel could truly be a luxury experience, Aspinal has created new sizes and styles to really 'wow' the jet-setter of today.

"The design hosts an array of memorable moments from the novel, depicting the route of the Orient Express, puffing smoke that leads your eyes to a elegantly-poised smoking women, wearing the dragon kimono worn by the murderer."

The real reason we attended the event was to take a peek at our exclusive design for the Murder on the Orient Express collection of scarves - and we couldn't be happier with the result. Aspinal have transferred our hand-drawn design inspired by the classic novel onto beautifully crafted silk twill scarves. The design hosts an array of memorable moments from the novel, depicting the route of the Orient Express, puffing smoke that leads your eyes to a elegantly-poised smoking women, wearing the dragon kimono worn by the murderer. Smaller nods to the novel surround the scene, such as the murder weapon, and Poirot's luggage and train tickets

The dramatic train exterior was central to our design on the Murder on the Orient Express scarf design.

The scarves were displayed in multiple places during the presentation, showing the different colourways that it comes in.

Aspinal made the design into a cushion especially for the presentation! Sadly, these won't be available for purchase...

These new styles will be released over the coming few months - if you're already planning to take home one of these exclusive scarves or new bags, sign up to our newsletter below to be the first to hear about their release...
